Classes with less than four enrolled are subject to cancellation on 8.30.22. Fees returned prorated– Though I will work with families to continue. Shout out what you need and want, more class will open in September.
#Art of Argument and Rhetoric — analysis and composition
Our FIRST official meeting will be on August 29th.
Some of our objectives for the fall semester:
- Debate, Read, Write like a lawyer (ethical ones!)
- Build arguments: Investigate, collect data, generate, evaluate evidence, establish a position
- Write essays that express ideas clearly, logically, passionately & concisely in writing and speech
- Enjoy learning with lessons at your level and topics based on your interests!
In Spring 2023, the class will continue and will include a 5-10 page research essay.

For those teens starting in late September: if you come to the first meeting on August 25th to meet the group and register ahead with a 10% deposit, your price will be $262.

Learn how to write the kind of story that your reader can’t put down. Make sure you writing is clear, the plot is riveting, the characters complex, the setting captivating, and the work reveals your unique storytelling message!

While a story takes awhile to complete, it all starts with one sentence, one supportive friend and mentor, and a plan.

In the workshop, we will
- WRITE!
- Make use of inspired dedicated writing time and learn
- Receive valuable feedback from other writers
- Make lifelong writing buddies, and
- Learn structures and strategies to support our writing
- Practice revision skills that matter
BIPOC and Latinx creative writers committed to their writing are encouraged to apply!
What to bring: a willingness to write and get along with others, a water bottle, a notebook/pen or laptop, and a snack. Writers are free to arrive and leave as parents decide.

- I’m devoted to supporting creative writers
- I host meetings from my home, so there’s little overhead
- I love to write and read good writing and love to share the experience with like-minded youth
- Along with honesty and integrity, my highest values include creativity, courage, clarity, and compassion.
- I’m a parent and couldn’t always afford the cost of good mentors. I don’t want others to feel they can’t give their youth what they so desperately need and want.
- Teaching writing is a gift and passion that I want to share.
- I charge enough for the academic writing which allows me to keep the cost low for what some consider an “elective”.
